KAWAN the Hevea Duck!

We were so SUPER excited when Heveababy in the US asked us to review their new release, of course YES!!! We are big fans of Hevea in this house and Sweetpea has had many of their gorgeous paci's since she was a few weeks old, you can read more about that here. Their range is beautiful and best of all TOTALLY SAFE! More about that later though, let me introduce you too... KAWAN!!

Man oh man is this rubber ducky more than I ever expected! For starters he is huge compared to other little rubber ducks!

See what I mean? Even Sweetpea noticed the difference!

What we love about Kawan:

• Kawan is a teether, bath toy and playmate.
• I love that he has no holes so no more yucky black water squirting out the bottom and filling baby's bath water with mould and germs.
• He actually floats! Yes a rubber ducky that doesn't just plop to the side and swim aimlessly!
• He is made from natural rubber so no BPA, PVC and is free from phthalates.
• He is dyed using natural pigments and done by hand (the love that went into this guy!)
• he has textured feet and beak which really help with itchy gums, Sweetpea defintely loves this feature the most.
• she loves the texture of his body too that has this soft velvety feel to him.
• His one piece design (much like the Hevea paci) has no cracks and joints that can harbour bacteria.
• What I love most bout KAWAN (besides that he is free of anything nasty) is that Sweetpea really enjoys him out the bath, (he even occasionally joins us on car trips) but then once he gets dirty it's so easy to just plop him in with her bath time and he quickly gets clean.
• I love that she can take Kawan out the tub as I lift her out and it doesn't squirt water all over our bed and her as she gets her bedtime massage. She happily continues to chew on him while I apply her cream, nappy and clothes.

They have a beautiful range of pacifiers, pacifier clips, bath toys and teethers.

Their goodies come packaged in these beautiful unisex boxes that make great gifts for the festive season , birthday's and baby showers and they are made of FSC certified paper.

We will definitely be purchasing more of these beauties for Sweetpea.

Cuskiboo review!

Well, if you read this blog regularly you will know that I have a cuddly baby. Yip as I'm writing this my heart is warm knowing that this Sweetpea of mine loves to snuggle next to me and touch my skin and feel my breath on her face... I LOOOOOVE those moments and treasure every one. Having said all that, she also really enjoys her muslin cloths to rub on her face and lie next to her chest when she sleeps. So when we were asked to review the CUSKIBOO I was excited but a tad worried that she wouldn't take to it. After all she's only ever known my touch and her muslins which feel quite different to bamboo. Well I was super excited when I opened the package and found it to be surprisingly SOFT!

So it has many awesome features like:

• Bamboo is organically grown and totally sustainable
• Ultra absorbent (great for keeping mom or dad's scent)

• Bio degradable
• Extremely soft (yes bamboo is really soft for those of you wondering!)

Ok so Sweetpea is at that nine-month-old-clingy-stage where she happily smiles at anyone remotely looking her way but won't give up her mothers lap for anything (other than a kiss from daddy or some rough and tumble play with her siblings of course!).

Mommy's favourite feature is that I  know it makes my baby happy and restful, she sleeps like a dream and this mamma is very pleased.

Lily 'n Jack!

Ok so anyone who knows my dear Sweetpea knows she loves to cuddle. Yeah I know, lucky Mamma to have a baby who is soooo snuggly. She loves to sleep with a muslin cloth next to her face so when we received this gorgeous little bunny from Lily 'n Jack I knew she was going to love it!

She has really taken to her bunny infact all my girls thought this little bunny was too precious. We've named her Lily.

We have a few pics with Sweetpea and her little Lily and she will always be part of my fondest memories when I look back one day over our little girls life. She'll be going in her memory box for her to open when she's older...

Lily is really well made and has been through the wash a few times already and looks as good as she did the day she arrived at our home. Not only are these bunnies gorgeous, well made and super comforting for our precious ones but this comapny has awesome service. Due to the strike our first bunny got lost in the post and Lily 'n Jack immediately sent Sweetpea another! This was one impressed Mamma!

I think every baba should have their own bunny with silky soft ears to cuddle and sooth.

Teething taggy!

Sent us their Teething Taggy from their Basic Beings collection! Now starts my pathetic excuses for why my photo's look so bad on this blog like:

1. I don't have an awesome camera
2. Sweetpea wasn't co-operating
3. She was so excited with it she wouldn't keep still

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH BLAH BLAH! But it's all TRUE!! Sweetpea loves her taggy and it arrived at just the right time as the last 3 weeks or so she clamps down with those little jaws of hers on anything willing (or not willing) to participate! This taggy was up to her mouth countless times and she did it all on her own. The excitement was actually priceless, the arms kept flying up with it in her hand!

What I love about it:

• The raw ring has no chemicals on it
• It is really easy for Sweetpea to grasp either the ring or fabric
• The ribbons in black and white really do keep her attention
• The obvious relief she gets from chewing on it
• The ring doesn't get soft or squishy at all from countless minutes of sucking on it
• The fabric taggy comes off easily from the ring to wash
• The taggy can also be attached to a pacifier which is a great soother for baba but makes it easier to find if the paci falls on the floor! BONUS!

Cute right?! And oh so useful!
